Admission Process

 

Instruction to students seeking admission to B.M.S. 

1 ) The students are supposed to countercheck their rank and the marks that they have scored . 

2 ) Only candidates who have secured 45 marks ( General / Defense / Freedom Fighter ) & candidates who secured 40 marks ( Reserved category ) at the CCEE are eligible for counseling . The counseling dates for candidates who have secured rank beyond 1548 will be displayed on 3rd June 2000 at 5 P.M. on the notice board of JBIMS subject to the availability of the seats .

3 ) Candidates have to be present compulsorily ( No parents / Guardians allowed during the actual counseling ) .

4 ) Except for students seeking admission under the minority quota the admission to the college can be finalized only after attending counseling . However being called for counseling does not guarantee admission . 

5 ) The counseling session will commence from 29th May 2000 . The venue for the counseling will be “ JBIMS ” 164 , Backbay Reclamation , Road No. 3 , Mumbai – 400020 . 

6 ) Candidates have to bring :-……..

i) Statement of marks of std. 10th and 12th .
ii) CCEE scorecard . 
iii) Caste certificate ( incase of Reserved categories ) .
iv) Demand draft of Rs. 4,500 /- drawn in favor of “ Director , JBIMS” towards the payment of the first semester fee . 
v) Balance amount will have to be paid directly to the admitted college .
vi) Those who wish to claim admission under the physically disabled category must report for counseling on 30 /05 /2000 at 2:00 PM with their disability certificate . 







Centralised admission to BMS degree course for the year 2000 – 2001 .

Instructions to the minority students . 

1 ) Candidates who are seeking admission to minority status are requested to go through the list of the seats allocated to each minority class , This list will be displayed on the Notice Board .

2 ) On the basis of the list they are requested to contact the principal of the respective college , for direct admission immediately after the declaration of the HSC results . 

3 ) At the time of admission the following documents original & attested Xerox copies ( at least 2 ) of

i) Statement of marks of SSC and HSC exams or its equivalent exams .
ii) CCEE scorecard .
iii) Proof of minority status .

4 ) CCEE scorecard will be received by you by post . Incase of any problems contact the Convocation Hall , Compute Desk .

 

 

Under this section we will be providing you information on how to manage your admission and the kind of documents needed for the admission. Also we will help you to make a rough list of colleges which you would like to study in. This will help you to seek admission with a cool and calm mind and avoid unnecessary confusion.

Steps :

1.     Arrival of marksheet : you will be receiving your marksheet within a week or ten days by post. If you don’t get your marksheet within the stipulated time than you have to go to Bajaj Institute and collect the marksheet. The marksheet is important because it contains your Roll No, rank and  score obtained in CCEE. Once you get the marksheet take atleast 3 photo copies.

2.     Counseling Procedure :  As per the given table see on what day you have to go to Bajaj. You would need to carry the following documents on that day :

Counselling Notice Should be Put Up On 3rd July for further roll numbers.

 

3. Filling Up The Admission Form : You would have to fill all the details given in the marksheet. Also you will have to fill your choice of 3 colleges on priority basis. If you don’t get admission in the first or second than you will have to take the third college.

 

4.     Selection of Colleges : you should have an idea about the kind of colleges you would like to get into but at the same time you should not forget your rank and accordingly you should place your list of three colleges. For college detail refer to the College Section given on the site. In Bajaj college the current scenario of each college with respect to the number of seats filled would be displayed on the board. Also you can project your admission on the basis of our projection which is based on last year admission. You can find this list in the College Section.

 

5.     Reservations : In each college 50% ( 25 seats ) of the seats are reserved for the SC category . Out of the remaining 50% ( 25 seats ) further 50% ( 12 seats ) are reserved for the Minority Quota in case of certain Linguistic Colleges eg. Mithibai College , JaiHind College . This is not applicable in case of certain colleges eg. S.K.Somaiya .    A ) That leaves a total of 12 seats to occupy in each college for the Open Category ( Incase of Minority Colleges ) .

B ) Incase of Open Colleges the number of seats available for the open category is 25 .

 

6.     Incase of open category admission and SC admission the admission will be centralized ie. Through J.B.I.M.S. according to the above mentioned procedure . But in case of a person belonging to a minority class the admission will have to be obtained directly from the concerned colleges .

7.     Certificates : In case of a person belonging to any SC or linguistic minority he would have to show the proof to avail of any benefits mentioned above .

8.     Ranking : There will be a separate rank list for SC and the open category  students
